Mullein Leaf
Mullein leaf and flowers are harvested in the spring and summer and have long been a valued herb for cough and congestion. The leaves and flowers are used to create an infusion to reduce mucus formation and to stimulate coughing up phlegm.
When infused in an oil and applied topically, mullein’s emollient properties encourage wound healing. Mullein oil has been used historically for ear infections and hemorrhoids.
